The Department of Information Systems Technology (DIST) is part of the University of Central Florida’s Institute for Simulation and Training (IST). We provide network infrastructure support to the Institute and develop state-of-the-art information systems for our diverse list of sponsors. Since 1993, we have participated in over $15 million in external and internal awards. Our domain of expertise is in application development and systems services using the latest technologies in information systems and the public Internet. Our information engineers develop advanced World Wide Web SQL applications to support data manipulation, workflow, and decision-making. We also provide IT consulting and website hosting services. Although we assist a number of sponsors affiliated with modeling and simulation our range of clientele spans beyond the M&S realm. We have worked with every branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, a variety of universities, numerous commercial and non-profit agencies, as well as many of our own UCF and IST departments to provide information systems support. Over the years, tens of thousands of individuals and companies have accessed our managed web sites, databases, or participated in the discussion forums we host.
Our orientation has been, and is, on providing timely and relevant information when and where needed, whether for development, advanced applications, or for hosted services. We pride ourselves on offering top-notch, dependable customer support. We are here to help in any way we can regardless the size of the project or how simple or complex the question. Our support to staff internal to IST and to the organizations we become a part of are our number one focus.
